Bajaj Finance Employee Dies: Tarun Saxena, a 42-year-old area manager at Bajaj Finance, allegedly died by suicide by hanging himself at his home, reportedly due to intense work pressure.

Family members have claimed that he endured “mental torture” from his superiors to meet demanding recovery targets.

Police said on Monday that a suicide note was found in which Saxena accused his senior colleagues of exploitation. “Tarun Saxena was working as an area manager at Bajaj Finance. He committed suicide on Sunday using a dupatta,” stated Superintendent of Police (City) Gyanendra Kumar Singh.

The note revealed that Saxena was subjected to escalating pressure to meet unrealistic targets imposed by his seniors. Action will be taken after a complaint is filed by the family members of the deceased. The body has been sent for postmortem examination, the SP added.

Gaurav Saxena, the victim’s brother, spoke to reporters in Jhansi, detailing the events leading to the tragedy. He stated, “In the morning, he was mentally tortured by his regional manager Prabhakar Mishra and national manager Vaibhav Saxena. Abuses were also hurled at him during a conference, which was held virtually.”

“He was quite frustrated since that (Saturday) night, following which he took the extreme step (on Sunday),” the brother claimed, adding that pressure was being exerted on Tarun for a 100 per cent recovery of loans given by the company.

“He was told that in case of non-fulfilment of the target, he would have to pay from his own pocket. He was assigned to areas like Moth and Talbehat for collection, which are rural areas,” Gaurav Saxena said.

Despite several attempts, Bajaj Finance has not provided any comment on the situation. The family is now seeking justice for Tarun, hoping to shed light on the harsh realities faced by employees in high-pressure corporate environments.
