For over 11 years, Amy Hood has been at the helm of Microsoft’s finance division as EVP and CFO. Hood joined the tech giant in 2002 from Goldman Sachs where she served in various divisions including investment banking and capital markets. During her tenure at Microsoft, she’s helped the company drive growth through technological shifts, including the movement to the cloud and the AI era. As CFO, Hood is a strategic partner to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella. She remains focused on driving shareholder value, returning $34 billion to shareholders in its fiscal year 2024. Microsoft earned $245.1 billion in revenue in the last full fiscal year 2024, up 16% from $211.9 billion the year prior. Hood played an integral role in Microsoft’s efforts to close the Activision Blizzard acquisition in October 2023. Since joining Microsoft’s Xbox family, Activision Blizzard has contributed to gaming revenue, with 48, 55, and 44 points of net impact in Q4, Q3, and Q2 respectively. Since 2017, Hood has served on the board of directors of 3M and is a member of its compensation and science, technology, and sustainability committees.
