Japan’s corporate governance reform has ‘only just begun,’ says TSE chief #JapanFinance

TOKYO — Dialogue with shareholders is increasingly important for public companies in Japan, the Tokyo Stock Exchange’s owner said on Tuesday, as a broad push to revamp corporate governance in Asia’s No. 2 economy accelerates.

“Corporate governance reform has only just begun,” Hiromi Yamaji, CEO of Japan Exchange Group, which owns the TSE, said at the Frontiers of International Finance symposium hosted by Nikkei.
