Mark Carney lobbied U.K. finance minister over rebates that would help Brookfield: report #UKFinance

The former central banker, adviser to British and Canadian prime ministers and chair of Brookfield Asset Management, urged Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves to broaden a subsidy for replacing gas boilers with heat pumps, The Telegraph reported. It quoted the chair of a Brookfield-owned company that would benefit. “Mark did not raise the issue of the boiler upgrade scheme with the chancellor,” Brookfield spokesperson Simon Maine wrote to The Logic.
