Time is fast running out to qualify for £200 in free cash from Lloyds Bank.

Savers switching to the bank currently get a £200 cash incentive when doing so, but there are just three days left to start your switch and collect the funds. The offer ends on Tuesday, December 10.

You can get the money paid into your account if you open a a new Club Lloyds, Club Lloyds Silver, or Club Lloyds Platinum account with the savings provider.

Customers need to switch over three or more active direct debits from their old account using the Current Account Switch Service.

Another rule to note is you will not qualify if you already received a switching offer since April 2020 when switching to any Lloyds, Bank of Scotland or Halifax Bank account.

All Club Lloyds accounts come with benefits such as offers on savings and mortgages products and a 12-month subscription to one of several services, such as Disney+ or a magazine subscription.

There is a £3 monthly fee to pay but this is refunded if you pay in £2,000 or more each month. Club Lloyds Silver and Club Lloyds Platinum accounts come with an extra £11.50 fee and £22.50 fee respectively.

With the Silver account, you get mobile phone insurance, AA Breakdown family cover and no debit card fees at home or abroad.

If you go for the Platinum account, on top of these other benefits, you also get worldwide family travel insurance up to age 80, among other extras.

Other providers with switching incentives including Santander offering £150, Nationwide with £175 and NatWest offering £180.

Banks often withdraw these popular offers at short notice, so if you are thinking of switching to a provider with such an incentive, it may pay to act quickly.

Barclays recently issued a warning to customers after a person had an issue gettting cash out at an ATM.

The frustrated customer said: “I just used a cash point and the money never came out, is there any out of hours service?”

The explained in response: “If the money didn’t dispense, but it’s showing as being deducted from your balance, check again tomorrow morning.

“The ATM will balance itself overnight and then essentially realise the mistake and send the money back to you.”
