Institutional Bitcoin Boom as Major Funds and Banks Disclose Billions in Holdings #CriptoNews

Recent disclosures reveal significant investments in Bitcoin by major financial institutions, underscoring its growing adoption among institutional investors.

Hedge fund giant Millennium Management has reported $2.6 billion in Bitcoin ETF holdings, with its investments spread across multiple funds.

The largest allocation is to BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) at over $844 million, followed by Fidelity’s Bitcoin ETF at just over $806 million.

Another prominent hedge fund, Brevan Howard, has disclosed $1.38 billion in Bitcoin holdings.

The firm conducts a significant portion of its Bitcoin trading from the United Arab Emirates, drawn by the country’s favorable regulatory environment.

Goldman Sachs has also expanded its exposure, increasing its Bitcoin ETF holdings to $1.58 billion—a move that reflects the growing confidence in Bitcoin within traditional finance.

Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi’s sovereign wealth fund has disclosed $436 million in Bitcoin ETF holdings, specifically in BlackRock’s spot Bitcoin ETF.

In a notable development, global proprietary trading firm Jane Street Group has accumulated nearly 30,000 Bitcoin through spot ETFs, valued at approximately $2.8 billion.

This makes it the largest Bitcoin ETF holder, surpassing Goldman Sachs, which holds around 25,000 Bitcoin.

These substantial positions by leading financial institutions highlight the accelerating institutional adoption of Bitcoin, marking a transformative shift in the global financial landscape.
