Financial Insights That Matter
Upper Canada College forward Javian Nei has committed to Union College, it was announced earlier this week.
Nei, a product of Toronto, Ont., is in his first season at Upper Canada, having put up 35 goals and 40 assists for 75 points in 42 games. Nei also appeared in one game with the OJHL’s Toronto Patriots but did not register a point.
Drafted by the North Bay Battalion in the 12th round of the 2024 OHL Priority Selection, Nei spent his draft-eligible season playing for the Toronto Jr. Canadiens, putting up 22 goals and 21 assists for 43 points in 35 games.
With Nei not expected to join the Garnet Chargers until 2027, he will likely make the jump to junior hockey next year, whether it be the OJHL or the OHL. As a skilled, quick forward, Nei has the ability to create chances with the puck and his offensive skills should translate wherever he plays.
