TORONTO, May 7, 2025 /CNW/ – The official Government of Canada delegation will participate in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Victory-Peace Monument located in Coronation Park to mark the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day. The delegation will be joined by Commander Paul SmithCommanding Officer, HMCS York, Canadian Armed Forces, Consul-General Harman IdemaConsul-General of the Netherlandsand Her Worship Olivia Chow, Mayor of Toronto.
There will be a photo op and interview opportunities with Veterans and other dignitaries following the ceremony.
