Most people have a credit card, but it’s not always easy to know whether it’s the right one for you. The right card can kick off good spending habits, and provide a starting point to save up for big purchases. But maybe you went with the first option offered by your bank, or got a starter card years ago and never bothered to upgrade.

The problem is, there’s a huge number of credit card options, and it can be challenging to find the right one to fit all of your needs.

That’s why The Globe recently published our first-ever Big Guide to Credit Cards, and on Oct. 16 at 1 p.m. ET, journalists Chen Wang, Yang Sun and Salmaan Farooqui will be answering reader questions about it. The guide compiled credit cards according to the value of the rewards they provide, and organized them in categories based on cash-back rewards, travel perks, and ease of balance transfer.

Globe and Mail subscribers can ask a question or leave a comment, but registered non-subscribers can still view the questions and responses. To submit a question, fill out this form or scroll down to the comments section of this article. Then come back on Oct. 16 at 1 p.m. and read the responses to your questions in the comments.

Wondering if you should use a credit card with a fee? How do you choose between a card offering cash back and another that earns you rewards points? And are those luxury cards with $600 fees ever worth it? Submit your questions now.
