Shri Anjeev Kumar Jain, Director (Finance), NBCC

Shri Anjeev Kumar Jain assumed the charge of Director (Finance) of NBCC (India) Ltd., a distinguished Navratna CPSE w.e.f. from November 1, 2024. Prior to his appointment as Director (Finance) by Govt. of India, Shri Jain served as Executive Director (Finance) at RITES Ltd., a Navratna CPSE, where he played a pivotal role in corporate finance, risk management, and project advisory. His contributions at RITES led the company to receive numerous awards for excellence in financial reporting and also received Navratna status during his tenure.

Shri Jain brings with him nearly three decades of extensive experience in finance and accounts across various sectors, including public enterprises and government initiatives.

Shri Jain started his career with Defence Audit Wing of C&AG of India and gained experience in handling Audit of various defence establishment. He worked for 15 years in NHPC Ltd., a Schedule A-Navratna CPSE, wherein he handled functions related to Corporate Accounts, Statutory & CAG Audit, Cost Accounts, Contract Management, Compliance with Accounting Standards and applicable statute & finance appraisal. Shri Jain represented NHPC in “Enterprise India” organized by CII at Yangon, Myanmar in November, 2011. During his tenure at Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL), a Schedule ‘A’ Railway CPSE. Shri Jain handled varied functions related to Finance & Corporate Accounts, Audit, Risk Management, Contract Management – FIDIC, coordination with World Bank and JICA etc.  He also received employee of the year award in the year 2017 from Minister of Railways.

He also served as a Director on the Board of REMC, a subsidiary of RITES with equity participation of Ministry of Railways, involved in procurement of electricity for Indian Railways(IR) under open access and facilitating IR in Net Zero Carbon Initiative. He had also been working as CFO of REMC. During his tenure REMC achieved highest ever performance and also become debt free.

Shri Jain is a Fellow member of Institute of Cost Accountant of India (CMA) with degree in Law & PG Diploma in Business Administration (Finance Management). He has close to three decades of experience in the area of Finance & Accounts, Cost Accounts, Audit, Government Procurement, risk management, transaction advisory for PPP, Contract Management, Tendering & finance appraisal etc.
