Specialist lender Bridging Finance Solutions (BFS) has appointed Jon Durie as business development manager to lead its team in Scotland.
Working closely with property lawyers Aberdeen Considine, BFS has recorded strong uptake of its bridging loans across Scotland, leading to the introduction of development finance funding for ground up schemes across the country.
Mr Durie is a former bridging finance lender with over 20 year’s experience in the real estate sector, the last 10 years being specifically in short term finance. His relationships, connections, experience and understanding of the Scottish property market positions the FCA regulated company for significant growth.
Steve Barber, managing director of BFS, said: “We’re really pleased to welcome Jon to the team at this exciting time. He will continue to promote bridging finance products, alongside the newly launched development finance product.
“There is huge scope for further growth in Scotland, and now with the right leader in place and the best professional partnerships, we have scope to realise all of our ambitions.”
“Our sweet spot remains the sub £2 million market in terms of both specialist lending products, an area of the market which we believe has huge growth potential. As our reputation builds and we gain increased recognition as a reliable, professional and consistent lender, we believe we will see considerable traction from the small to medium sized contractor and developer seeking support for their next project.”
