Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Travel&Leisure and Oil&Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.90% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Tenaris SA (BIT:TENR), which rose 5.49% or 0.69 points to trade at 13.17 at the close. Meanwhile, STMicroelectronics (BIT:STMMI) added 2.97% or 0.82 points to end at 28.58 and Interpump Group (BIT:ITPG) was up 2.14% or 0.82 points to 39.16 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telecom Italia (BIT:TLIT), which unchanged 1.34% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.24 at the close. Hera (BIT:HRA) declined 1.09% or 0.04 points to end at 3.45 and Inwit (BIT:INWT) was down 0.83% or 0.09 points to 10.71.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 298 to 175 and 43 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.88% or 1.40 to $75.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.40% or 1.09 to hit $78.67 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.65% or 16.60 to trade at $2,554.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.36% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.28% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 101.29.
