Yen hits seven-month high on expectations of U.S.-Japan talks #JapanFinance

TOKYO — The Japanese yen strengthened to the 140 range against the dollar on Monday morning amid growing expectations that the finance chiefs of the U.S. and Japan would meet on the sidelines of an upcoming global summit.

The currency temporarily reached 140.61, appreciating by more than 1% from the previous week and hitting its strongest level since September.
