Air France-KLM Flying Blue Promo Rewards provide up to a 50% discount on certain reward flights, including popular routes between North America and Europe.

With available point transfers from popular travel credit card rewards programs, such as American Express Membership Rewards® and Chase Ultimate Rewards®, maximizing your redemption value using Flying Blue deals is easy.

Current Air France-KLM Flying Blue Promo Rewards for November 2024 include the following destinations in North America:

  • Boston (BOS) to/from Europe: Starting from 15,000 miles in economy (25% discount)

  • Denver (DEN) to/from Europe: Starting from 15,000 miles in economy (25% discount)

  • New York (JFK) to/from Europe: Starting from 15,000 miles in economy (25% discount)

  • Seattle (SEA) to/from Europe: Starting from 15,000 miles in economy (25% discount)

  • Ottawa (YOW) to/from Europe: Starting from 15,000 miles in economy (25% discount)

  • Vancouver (YVR) to/from Europe: Starting from 15,000 miles in economy (25% discount)

You can book any of these reward flights in November 2024 for travel until April 30, 2025.

Note that Flying Blue lets you add a free stopover on flights completely operated by Air France, KLM, or partner airlines. That means you could book a flight to Amsterdam (AMS) from the U.S., stop in Paris (flying into CDG) for a few weeks, and then continue on to your final destination — all without paying anything extra for the stopover.

Flying Blue Promo Rewards are promo reward tickets you can book through Flying Blue, the loyalty program of Air France and KLM. New Promo Rewards are released at the beginning of each month and are available for booking by any Flying Blue member (free to join).

We like Flying Blue because it provides access to many popular flight routes worldwide, including between many US and European destinations. With monthly Promo Rewards, you can take advantage of 25% to 50% discounts on select award tickets, giving you plenty of opportunity to save on your next trip.

You can earn Flying Blue miles in various ways, including converting credit card rewards, shopping online, and taking flights.

The Flying Blue program is easy to work with because most major credit card rewards programs can transfer to it. That includes:

Rewards from these programs transfer to Flying Blue at a 1:1 ratio unless there’s a transfer bonus.

For example, Amex Membership Rewards has offered multiple 25% transfer bonuses to Flying Blue since 2018. With a 25% bonus, you would receive 1,250 Flying Blue miles for every 1,000 Amex Membership Rewards points you transfer.

You can earn Flying Blue miles on eligible flights from over 30 airlines, including:

  • Air France

  • KLM

  • Delta

  • Etihad Airways

  • ITA Airways

  • Japan Airlines

  • Korean Air

  • Qantas

  • Virgin Atlantic

You can take advantage of different shopping offers to earn Flying Blue miles. That includes using the Flying Blue Shop for Miles shopping portal to earn miles for making purchases at popular online retailers, such as Apple, Walmart, and Home Depot.

Apart from flights and shopping, you can also earn Flying Blue miles in these categories:

  • Banking and insurance: The Air France KLM World Elite Mastercard® is an airline credit card that lets you earn Flying Blue miles on everyday purchases. Flying Blue also partners with financial companies, such as Allianz and Revolut, to offer ways to earn more miles.

  • Hotels and accommodation: You can earn Flying Blue miles for stays at popular hotels from Marriott Bonvoy, Accor Live Limitless, Hilton Honors, Best Western, Choice Privileges, Hyatt, IHG, and more. If you frequent any of these hotel brands, consider using a hotel credit card for increased rewards and benefits.

  • Car rental: Earn Flying Blue miles with Avis, Hertz, Budget, Dollar, and more car companies.

  • Experience: Whether buying concert tickets or taking online surveys, there are various ways to earn Flying Blue miles from your experiences.

We don’t typically recommend this, but you can buy Flying Blue miles. This isn’t recommended because it doesn’t often offer great value for your money. However, it might be worth it if you’re short some miles for a valuable flight redemption.

Consider these business credit cards if you want to earn Flying Blue miles:

One of the benefits of using Flying Blue is that you don’t have to be a frequent KLM or Air France traveler to earn rewards for award flights. With options to convert points or miles from popular rewards programs to Flying Blue miles, you can stay flexible with how you use your transferable points.

Tip: Instead of making a speculative transfer, we recommend having a specific flight redemption in mind before transferring rewards from a credit card loyalty program. Once you transfer credit card rewards to an airline or hotel loyalty program, you can’t transfer them back.

With many rewards credit cards, you can earn increased rewards on your travel expenses, including flights, car rentals, and hotel stays. You can also use the same cards for your everyday expenses, so you’re always earning rewards that can be redeemed for travel.

Many travel credit cards provide different types of useful travel insurance and protections as long as you pay for your travel expenses with those cards.

For example, the Chase Sapphire Reserve provides various travel insurance, including travel accident insurance, trip delay reimbursement, and lost luggage reimbursement. You generally don’t have to enroll in these protections, but you do need to pay for flights and other trip-related expenses to be eligible for coverage.

You can book Flying Blue Promo Rewards on either the Air France or KLM websites. You will need a Flying Blue account, which is quick, easy, and free to set up. Once you’re logged in, you can use the “Book with Miles” option to search for flights. The lowest award pricing for your selected itinerary and dates will be highlighted in green.

Based on our research, Flying Blue miles are worth about 1.2 cents per mile. That means 10,000 Flying Blue miles should be worth around $120 in flight redemptions. However, valuations can vary depending on the redemption.

Flying Blue miles expire after two years with no qualifying activity on your account. You can extend the life of your miles by two years if you take an eligible Air France, KLM, or partner flight or if you make a purchase with an eligible co-branded airline credit card. Your miles will never expire if you have Flying Blue Silver or higher elite status.
