IHG Hotels & Resorts has over 6,300 hotels across more than 18 brands, including popular chains like Holiday Inn, Kimpton, and Intercontinental. That gives frequent travelers plenty of lodging options in different regions worldwide, such as the Americas, Europe, and Asia.

With limited-time offers on two IHG credit cards, you can help reduce hotel costs on your next trip. Check out these valuable welcome bonuses before they’re gone.

  • IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card: You can receive five Free Nights after spending $4,000 in three months. Each Free Night is valued at up to 60,000 points, giving you a total value of up to 300,000 points.

  • IHG One Rewards Traveler Credit Card: For a limited time, you can receive 100,000 bonus points after spending $2,000 in 3 months.

The IHG One Rewards Premier limited-time offer is the best bonus this card has ever had, and it’s worth considering for multiple reasons:

  • Five Free Nights can easily cover your lodging costs for a short trip or most of your costs for a medium-length trip.

  • These Free Nights are worth up to 60,000 points each. That’s up to 20,000 points more than the typical value (40,000 points) of an IHG Anniversary Free Night, giving you much more flexibility with hotel choices.

Let’s dig deeper into the details of how valuable these bonuses are.

Apart from the welcome offers, here are some differences to consider between the IHG credit cards:

The IHG One Rewards Premier has a $95 annual fee, while the IHG One Rewards Traveler has a $0 annual fee. The IHG One Rewards Traveler is the better option for avoiding yearly costs.

With the IHG One Rewards Premier, you can earn:

  • Up to 26x points per $1 at IHG Hotels & Resorts

  • 5x points per $1 on travel, gas stations, and restaurants

  • 3x points per $1 on all other eligible purchases

With the IHG One Rewards Traveler, you can earn:

  • Up to 17x points per $1 at IHG Hotels & Resorts

  • 3x points per $1 on monthly bills, gas stations, and restaurants

  • 2x points per $1 on all other eligible purchases

For travel-related earnings, including at IHG hotels, the IHG One Rewards Premier is the better option.

Both cards have similar benefits, but the IHG One Rewards Premier has the better overall perks. That includes a Free Anniversary Night, automatic Platinum Elite status, up to $100 statement credit each year as reimbursement for the Global Entry, TSA PreCheck, or NEXUS application fee, and up to $50 United Airlines TravelBank Cash each year.

As a no-annual-fee card, the IHG One Rewards Traveler simply can’t compete with the benefits of the IHG One Rewards Premier.

If you’re a small business owner, there’s another IHG credit card option: the IHG One Rewards Premier Business Credit Card.

This card is essentially the same as the IHG One Rewards Premier but designed for business owners. It offers many of the same benefits, including automatic Platinum Elite status and a Free Anniversary Night worth up to 40,000 points.

Note that it’s possible to double up on IHG credit card perks by simultaneously having one of the IHG personal credit cards and the IHG One Rewards Premier Business. For example, you could have the personal and business versions of the Premier and receive two Anniversary Free Nights per year.
