UK Export Finance (UKEF), a UK government ministerial department and the nation’s export credit agency, has appointed Eulogy after a competitive pitch process.

UKEF contributes billions of pounds each year towards helping exporters access working capital, and manage the risk of not getting paid, by offering a government guarantee.

It encourages UK firms of all sizes to take up opportunities offered by global markets while providing a platform to finance green infrastructure projects overseas.

Eulogy will work to promote UKEF’s products and services to UK businesses, encouraging more firms to export and support economic growth.

The six-figure PR brief will focus particularly on those traditionally underserved by financial support, including SMEs, regional businesses, women-owned and ethnic-minority-led companies, and those contributing to green industries.

Eulogy’s work is also intended to bolster UKEF’s reputation among developing markets overseas.

The PR account was previously held by MHP. When contacted by PRWeek UK, the agency did not provide a comment.

Andy Aston, head of news and corporate communications at UKEF, said: “The next five years represent an incredibly important period for UKEF, as we deliver on our strategic business plan to support more UK companies, particularly smaller firms, and deliver global impact through trade.

“It’s great to be working with the Eulogy team, who bring a wealth of expertise that will help us to maximise our comms impact and reach more exporters.”

Elisabeth Field, chief executive of Eulogy, said: “The UK has always been a proud nation of exporters, and there is so much opportunity to help businesses of all shapes to unlock their growth potential and support international trade relationships. We’re proud to be on board as UK Export Finance’s comms partner, to contribute to that work, and build on the department’s success by reaching new audiences.”

Eulogy is the 88th-biggest PR agency in the UK, according to PRWeek’s latest Top 150 rankings.
